        HTC KICKS OFF BASEBALL SEASON WITH #CanoCrush

        Initiative Rallies Support for HTC Brand Ambassador Robinson Cano and RC22 Foundation

        BELLEVUE, WASH. – April 6, 2015 – Each year consumers can count on two highly anticipated events to signal the start of spring – the launch of the latest HTC One® flagship device and the new baseball season. To celebrate these two major events, HTC is launching #CanoCrush, which supports six-time MLB All-Star and Seattle Mariners 2nd baseman Robinson Cano and his charity, RC22 Foundation.

        Widely considered the smartphone of the year for the past two years, the third generation of the HTC One, the HTC One M9, ups the ante in the smartphone category with the most personal, intuitive and powerful smartphone from HTC yet.

        As the leading hitter in Seattle in 2014, Robinson Cano is without a doubt a big hitter on the field – and off as a result of his charitable work. The RC22 Foundation’s mission is to positively impact the lives of underserved children and communities both locally and globally. The Foundation has established and engaged in various initiatives that expand opportunities for improved outcomes in the areas of youth development and community healthcare. This year, the Foundation has broken ground on its first Montessori school in San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic, and will expand its efforts to help the Seattle community.

        To support Robinson Cano and the RC22 Foundation, HTC will donate $1 to RC22 Foundation for each tweet made using hashtag #CanoCrush during Cano’s first 10 home games up to $5,000 per game.*
